Tis the Season to be Grateful Part 2: My Secret Weapon to Practice Gratitude!

In my last post on Gratitude, I talked about why it’s important to adopt an “Attitude of Gratitude”. I even provide you with 5 scientifically proven reasons for why people should practice gratitude in their daily lives. I personally have adopted this practice of gratitude to jump start my mornings a few years ago. I saw a tremendous increase in my mindset and focus for the day. I believe that the way your start your morning, sets the tone for your entire day. Gratitude is your primer that prepares you to do an entire day of mental and physical heavy lifting. The goal is to create a habit of gratitude. We all have daily habits including brushing your teeth every night before bed, to having your cup of coffee, or even scrolling through your favorite social media platform to get the latest and greatest Empire memes on Thursday mornings. These are things that we do often in our day to day lives.

What if there was a quick and easy way to weave gratitude into your life without tons of time or work? What if I told you for the past year, I’ve been spending no more than 5 minutes on my gratitude practice morning and night and still have been experiencing the major benefits this simple positive practice has to offer?

Well my friends, I wanted to introduce to you my secret daily weapon for how I practice Gratitude.

It’s called the The Five-Minute Journal.

This small little book will change your life in just a few minutes. It’s for people who love to journal and for people who don’t like to write in journals. It’s the easiest, most effective thing you can do every day to be happier.

Let’s look inside – here is how it works.

Each page of your journal starts with an inspirational quote (which I LOVE and sometimes repost on my social media pages) and then the journal prompts you to think about 3 things you’re grateful for as well as answer questions like, “What are three things that would make today great?”

Five-Minute JournalYou basically journal for a 2-3 minutes when you first wake up (before you do anything else, except maybe pray), and then before you got to sleep a night by answering the last two questions on the page.

Dude, it’s easy, quick and super effective.

Five-Minute Journal 2Starting and ending my day with a few minutes of gratitude has really done wonders for my mindset. I was so thrilled about this instant boost in my daily mood that I bought one for all of my coaching clients this past June. They LOVED IT! Check out what one of my previous clients had to say about her journal below:

What truly excites me the most about this journal is that it gives you the power (because YOU have the power), to add just an ounce of happiness to your world every single time you spend five minutes exploring what you’re grateful for in this present moment.

Sooo… I’m having an Oprah moment right now and I have decided to give away a copy of the Journal to 2 of my lucky readers.
